Living Fearlessly

Happy Monday! Today’s post is a throwback to an article I wrote for Perkins back in 2015. Currently, I’m working on my book and wrote a chapter due out next year for a textbook all about social justice in education. I write to raise awareness and to help people. College was one of the most exhausting and lowest points in my life. God turned it around for me and blessed me with some wonderful people who changed it all for me. School was certainly not easy but definitely worth it. I want to be a voice and use my story to show people no matter what, it always gets better. If college is something you want for yourself, definitely go for it. The struggle is real lots of the time, but with the right support you can make it. Yes, even with horrible people who don’t understand. And yes, you can survive and overcome terrible services.

Since I started this blog a year ago and have been blessed with readers and followers from around the globe, I figured I would share this article.

I hope and pray this article helps some of you. Fun personal fact: When the title of this article was suggested, of course I said to myself, “Oh hey! Fearless is the name of one of Taylor’s songs!” Have you heard “Fearless”? Do you like it? Let’s talk! A huge thank you goes out to Perkins School for this opportunity. Is there anything you’ve gone through that wasn’t easy but you became stronger because of it? How has God blessed you recently? I want to hear all about it! Find me on twitter at mirandaloakley, leave me a comment here on my site, or find me on Facebook at Miranda Oakley. If you reach out to me on Facebook, please send me a message telling me who you are and how you found me. Thanks and have a great week.

Miranda ❤
